Is a Buddy System Right for your Organization? 2.4.3.c

The beauty of the buddy system is that it can work within any organization, large or small. You do not need a huge staff or unlimited resources to have an effective program. For the buddy system to work in your organization, the culture must be one of openness and teamwork. Current employees must want new employees to succeed. Senior management must support the buddy system and first-line supervisors must encourage it. Buddy involvement should be recognized in the performance appraisal process and by showing recognition through tokens of appreciation and respect.
